Barley and Mash Off 2015 tasting, The Marlay House, May 16th, Decatur!

BAMO2015

Three years ago the masterminds at Ale Yeah!, The Marlay House and Terrapin got together and held a homebrew competition.  But this wasn’t your standard run-of-the-mill homebrew competition, this was different. This was cool. This was, dare we say, hip. We chose a style and held the brew day at The Marlay House, with all brewers side by side, sharing ideas and brewing their beers simultaneously. A month later we all got together again, there was a judging and prizes were given out to the winners.  It was awesome. Well, we’re doing it again! This year the style is a West Coast IPA and we’ll be brewing on Saturday, April 18th. Entry fee is $75, which includes all the ingredients for your brew, a custom BAMO 2015 Tshirt (one per team member, each team limited to max 4 members), food and some delicious Terrapin beer during the brew day.  Our good friends at Wine Workshop and Brew Center are on board to help source the ingredients. The tasting day will be Saturday, May 16th.  Prizes will include gift cards, a VIP experience at Terrapin and the grand prize, the BAMO 2015 Brewer’s Paddle!

Recipe forms are available at Ale Yeah! and Wine Workshop and Brew Center.  Space is limited to 24 teams, so be sure to sign up today and join us for a truly unique experience.
